Reeve

Kampen, the Netherlands

About Reeve

BPD and the municipality of Kampen are working together to develop the new village of Reeve. The village will be located both next to and on a multifunctional ‘climate-dyke’ alongside the Reevediep, a new waterway connecting the river IJssel to the Drontermeer lake. The ‘climate-dyke’ (which is 130 metres wide and 2 kilometres long) has been built to withstand high water levels and, as it is so huge, also provides space for homes, leisure activities and new nature. There is also space for a green, watery environment behind the dyke. In total, 600 houses, made up of detached, semi-detached and terraced houses, will be built in Reeve. Construction will start in 2022.
