About Nuenen-West

Over the coming years, BPD and the Municipality of Nuenen are developing Nuenen-West, a new residential district containing more than 1,600 homes. More than 400 of these homes will be affordable properties – for both sale and rental. It is being designed to comprise numerous small-scale neighbourhoods, which will give Nuenen- West a village feel. Authentic features, such as existing roads of historic interest, old trees, farms and the Opwetten watermill, will also be retained. The ambition is to make Nuenen-West a smart community, in keeping with its location in Brainport Eindhoven. The first step is a neighbourhood app – an application that allows residents to get to know each other quickly and can also be used for neighbourhood watch purposes, among other things. Completion of the district as a whole is planned for 2036.
